Besides my huge and annoying coffee buzz I have right now (got the shakes and everything) I just remembered that I've been meaning to show you guys a great article about music and the Nokia N82. One of my favorite bloggers Rita El Khoury, who's always keeping me in check ;), from Symbian-Guru is impressed with her new N82 that she won and came up with some great tips to enhance your music experience with your camera-oriented smartphone.
She goes through a few things that I often overlook including quick access to your music and different ways to control your music. Click here to see the article and leave your comments.
Oh and she also wrote up this article about re-configuring the keys on your Nokia N82 using the MagicKeys application. Another great read.
I'm kind of curious to see how many people use their N82's on a daily basis for music. I listen to mp3's just about everyday. I no longer have the need to carry around any ipod.
Stay tuned tomorrow for some new themes and the N82 at the Car Show.

Right ^^ Spam?
Anyways, I agree Mike. I'm loving the mp3 playback on this phone(to be specific I'm actually running 96kbit AAC). I still carry the iPod around solely because it stores more music and interfaces with my car stereo better(it stays in the glove box though ;) ).
Thanks for pointing out that article a great read.
Also, keep the informative posts coming, I only got my N82 three weeks ago, and this has been my default home page for 20 days - Great content.
Thanks
Alex
I use the n82 daily for music listening. I don't use the Nokia supplied mp3 player software though, since it crashed a bit too often for me. I found OggPlay (http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/), which supports more formats, doesn't crash, and is a whole lot faster as well.
I think the best option provided in my n82 is something most people aren't even aware about I think
-> I can use my phone in the wifi network from my pc's @ home ("own media" icon in the phone)
It makes it possible to play every mp3file wich is on my pc, directly on my phone or make a copy to it from pc to phone and vica versa.
It can also easely play an mp3 from the pc on the pc, being controlled with my phone (play, pause, volume, off, NO fast forward/backwards)
Also I can play any mp3 file wich is on my phone, directly trough the wifi network on my pc (wich is connected with my stereo -> super sound quality on my stereo, completely controlled with my phone, fastforw./bw included !!)
Like this no wires are needed
The same thing can be done with pictures and i was also able to play my recorded videos directly on the pc screen
Simply install simple center, wich makes some kind of server on your pc, and select the directories u want to share ;)
I noticed that it only works if u don't have any internet applications running, because the program needs the wifi connection all for itself, so while i use this option, i can't surf on the internet using my wifi acces point
If u buy the full version it supports every sound or video format, and switching between ps3, iphone, etc should also be no problem as they use some kind of built in 'live-encoder/decoder' in the registered version
I read on the internet it should also work with nero mediahome, wich is included in the Nero burning rom cd/dvd writing program, but i haven't fully tested it yet so I can't say if it's any good.
Also Mediaplayer 11 should be able to synchronize with the n82 but mine didn't want to do the job (so far)
mainly use it when i have a long shower, since my mp3 player has no speaker.
Thank you for suggesting OggPlay as Nokia player freezes a lot and has trouble updating my music library.
I use my phone exclusively for music now. When it comes to my car, it works seamlessly with my system because my head unit supports Bluetooth, which lets me control the songs from either the phone or the head unit.
Works real well and sounds great. I use normal MP3s on my N82, mostly because I'm way too lazy to convert them.
agreed with Jochem Kossen
nokia music player crash too often, so I replaced it with MyStrands Socal Player, quite good and faster.
I'll try OggPlay to know which one is better :)
