Well I wake up this morning after a great St. Patty's Day night of drinking to see an email from Nokia saying the N82 dressed in black will be shipping within weeks. Great news for those who have waited so long for this. The N82 black will come with the new firmware that will place your photos on a map with built in geotagging and hopefully a handful of bug fixes that we currently have on our silver N82. With this release we should also be getting a new firmware update for the silver version coming in a few weeks, but I haven't heard anything in stone.

The Nokia Sports Tracker is a GPS based activity tracker that runs on Nokia smartphones. Information such as speed, distance and time are automatically stored in the application, and can be shared with others.

just wondering, is the price going to be more or the same as the current prices for the silver n82? i've heard both scenarios would occur from reliable sources. please try to confirm this..i'd really appreciate it!
hey kevin. i believe the price nokia is saying is $681 or something close to that, so we should expect retailers to sell it for around $600 to start.
but you might find this article that i wrote up last month. retailers have preorders for the n82 black for around $500.

well for the longest time i've been "borrowing" a friends n82 that he dropped. obviously he doesn't need the money and went out and bought the n95. so until he asks for it back i'm gonna keep using it. nothing wrong with internally, just has some scratches and minor dents. i'm currently saving up for a black n82. gonna wait for the prices to come down.
cud someone tell me please when the black N82 will be available in India?
wish i could tell you but nobody really knows. it seems like nokia might have delayed the shipping of the n82 black a little bit. just like they do with all their phones.
