Free Application: Sports Tracker For Your N82 - Track Your Workouts, Vacations, Anything

Sports Tracker is free application made by Nokia developers that tracks your route and places it on a map. Information such as speed, distance, time, and altitude is stored so you can keep track of all the details. This application is great not only for work outs but can be used for anything like vacations, short trips, the driver to work, or just tracking yourself for the hell of it. Any photos you take while that application is running will be geotagged and placed on the map. The map is displayed on the Sports Tracker website and you can specify each map to be private or public. You can click here to see someones trip to Cabo San Lucas, looks like it was a great time. As soon as I figure it out myself I'll show you how to embed this into a blog or website. It shouldn't be that hard but I think Nokia needs to come up with a more simple way of doing this. Make sure you have a full battery if you planning on firing up this application for more than an hour, it's using GPS and if set it to show live on the web it's going to have a constant data connection open.

Update: heres a video that was found by Devin from The Nokia Guide showcasing Sports Tracker.

Been using ST for a couple of days now. It works well except crashes when trying to open a recent workout. I understand its in beta so can forgive nokia for now. I have 1.78 installed (23Dec08).

Anyone else experiencing problems with it?

Very nice app. I really appreciate the nokia sport tracker. My provider offered a “Paid” gps service that I wouldn’t spring for when I bought the phone.
