Ever wanted to know what the insides of your N82 looks like. Or even worse, do you need to take yours apart? I personally don't and probably would be too scared to do anything besides change the housing, but I've gotten lots of emails asking how to go about this.
A user over at EverythingN82.com has found an official Nokia N82 service guide available to download. It has all the details of the N82 that you could want in 22 pages, with step by step guides along with pictures to help you disassemble your Nokia N82.

i would only go as far as replacing the keypad or lcd.
i'm on the same page as you guys. after i had my beat up n73 for a while i messed with the joystick. but the n82 is still to young and pretty to delve that deep.

hey.. I bought a n82 used.. it works perfect n I already love that phone.. but the front panel seems loose.. i already tried sgueesing it back in place(the bottom left key when i press makes a click because its loose but it works good) so i am deciding if i should try to change the cover myself or send it to nokia.. so my question is has anybody switched the cover?? n how hard was it?? n if anybody sent it to nokia for the same problem(needing a new cover) how much did it cost??
hey Mike (Macias), out of curiosity i disassembled my entire N82 along with the switches, i have managed to solder them all together but in the bargaini somehome am stuck on the Samsung chip (Graphic Accelerator) which was removed by mistake. sir from where i can get the symbian os of my nokia N82 , infact accidently i have deleted some of the os application from the phone and now i am unable to get it fix for free , so id there anyway that i can fix it even i have upgraded the firmware but it wont help ...., help me out plz..........

My n82 camera not working when i open the camera lever. So i went thru the disassembly site and follow the guide step to dismantle right down to the camera switch to find the problem. However i dont see any connection to the level switch instead there were 2 gold plated grounding around the camera housing. Hence i tilted the grounding pin higher to make sure it is in contact with other point. Viola...and my camera works fine once more. Unfortunately, my keypad no.1 & 6 don't work after i assembled it. So i took out the keypad again (w/o taking out the connection) and the keypad working fine. It's just when i put back the keypad then the keypad cover over it, again no.1 & 6 will not work. Anyone with such experience ? please advise. TQ
