With more and more developers using Python to design their applications, it's becoming more and more important to have Python installed on your N82. Applications such as ShakeLock, which I mentioned a few weeks ago, need to have Python installed on your phone in order to work.
As of right now, the latest version of Python for S60 is 1.4.2.
You can click here for the direct link to install Python on your N82.
If you'd like to see where the file comes from, click here. When you get to the download page look for this - PythonForS60_1_4_2_3rdEd.SIS

Hi Raj,
Sorry to hear your having problems. Usually you will not see a Python application, it just runs in the background when you launch a Python application.
What error are you getting when trying to install shakelock?
I installed python 1.4.3 3rd edition yeh, and there is no icon or anythin in the applications menu. i try 2 install shakelock afta tat and there is an icon under applicattion called shakelock, but when i click on it, nothin happens, all the icons vanish from the screen then re-appear, but no program or anythin opens up.
You have to install *python shell* in addition to python package. Downloadable from sourceforge also. Then you get an icon in applications menu.
When I try to install Python it gives me a not supported error ?
