Your Nokia N82 And A Mac - Make Them Sync

macn82 - Share on Ovi

I know a handful of Nokia users are also Mac users, not including me. If your curious whether or not your N82 is compatible with a Mac then your answer is yes. Using tools that are available from Nokia you can easily sync your iTunes, iPhoto, calendars and contacts.

You can use the iSync plugin for the N82 to sync your...

Calendar
Ever get tired of trying to keep on top of your schedule? iSync makes it easy by ensuring that the meetings and appointments you enter into your Nokia mobile phone calendar are also transferred to iCal, Apple's handy desktop calendar. Make sure you never miss another important date by transferring data to and from your Mac as you need it.

Contacts
Keep your contacts up-to-date by transferring contact information to and from your Mac, including phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, web addresses, and best of all, photos of your friends, family, and colleagues.

Click here to learn more about the iSync plugin for the Nokia N82. There you can also learn how to connect to your mac via bluetooth so that everytime you walk in the door your phone syncs automatically.

On this page you can download the Nokia Multimedia Transfer Tool which will allow you to transfer files between your phone and iTunes and iPhoto. You can also use this tool to install games, themes, and applications on your N82 from your Mac computer.

Last but not least, you can use your N82 as a modem to connect your Mac to the internet. This is great for when your internet connection at home is down and you need quick access. It may not be fast, but it will get the job done. Click here to learn how to connect your Mac using your N82's internet connection.

Like I said earlier, I don't have any experience with a Mac and the N82. But you can head over to Darla Mack's blog where she talks about her N95 and Mac computer. Overall she thinks its a great experience.

Just started following the instructions on here. So far everything works good.. I got my N76 and my wife's N82 synced on both address book & calendar using my personal Mac. I installed the multimedia transfer app for taking pictures off the phones and onto the computers.

Anyone have any suggestions on best sizes to crop pictures (to form profile pictures for my address book) for both my Mac & my N82 & N76?

I followed the instructions but synch still fails. It's frustrating. Any suggestions. My MacBook is latest version and updated. - Five

hi, I have N82 and MacBook Pro with leopard
sometimes the mac seems to forget about the phone, and I need to re-pair the device (removing it and re-adding from bluetooth preferences) but overall works fine
I am just waiting for the OVI suite for mac...

works quite good with leopard and my macbook pro.

With the isync plugin its very simple to sync all my contacts on my mac with the n82. It also works fine the other way round!

Multimedia-Transer creates a folder in Itunes and you can put songs/playlist in it and they get on you phone next time it's connected (and you sync it). Simple as well! :)

cheers
