Many times new users of the Nokia N82 and Symbian S60 make the mistake of installing themes onto their memory card. WHY! We have some much room on the phone memory. Make good use of it. Same goes for applications. With the recent inclusion of Data Preservation we don't have to worry about losing anything when updgrading our firmware.
So make sure you always install applications and themes on the PHONE MEMORY.
With that said, there is a tutorial written by Zach from Symbian In Motion showing you how to remove themes that you have installed on your memory card. Sometimes when you do this it's nearly impossible to remove the theme unless you follow his directions. Other times you can remove the theme with no problem, it just varies. It's a slight pain to dig through the folders on your memory card to remove the theme, but Zach gives you step by step instructions along with pictures.

Yeah, happy you N82 users with UDP! Keep in mind though that advising people to install themes on the phone memory might not be such a good idea for phones with limited amounts of phone memory. On the other hand, on the N95-1 for me, it was exactly the other way round. I installed only to phone memory. Then a software update came. I backed up and restored. After that, no theme whatsoever would show up in the App Manager. And since they were all on the phone memory, access to hidden folders was out of the question. Had to manually reinstall ALL themes to the memory card (if you reinstall an existing theme to a different location, it will delete the theme you are "replacing"). I'll document this in an upcoming rant on Nokia's carelessness toward themes.
I removed the themes from the memory card by following the route mentioned : memory card\private\10207114\import and also from \resource\skins.
After that I installed the same themes again one by one, but the phone showed that the themes were already installed and this will replace the old files. After selecting yes and the theme being installed, half of them are not appearing in the Themes folder but are still occupying the memory.
Horrible to hear that Tirthak. I hate the way Nokia implements the themes. I don't know any other solutions sorry. Maybe you should just do a hard reset. Make sure you back up all your data.
It is very good information abpu memory card. I think A memory card is used in almost all media devices. Today, a lot of compressed file formats are available to help us store more on one memory card. The point of storing data from either your camera or cell phone to the memory card is so that when the time comes, you can easily transfer the data to the system or better still, you can store the data on that tiny little device. One should always ensure to take a back-up of some sort, just in case something goes wrong. However there is no need to get crushed if no back up is available. At such times use a Large Capacity SD cards recovery software to redeem your pictures.
