Freeware: JoikuSpot Light Updated To Beta Version 1.1

Last week I posted a free new application called JoikuSpot Light that allows your Nokia N82 to act as a wireless hotspot for other devices to connect to via Wifi and your internet connection. Connecting a PSP, iTouch, or even laptop is now as easy as having your phone nearby.

How it works...
JoikuSpot software is installed directly to the phone. When switched on, laptops and iPods can establish instant and fast wireless internet connection via smartphone's JoikuSpot access point using phone's own 3G internet connection. Multiple devices can connect to JoikuSpot in parallel and seamlessly share the same 3G internet connection. JoikuSpot acts thus as an internet gateway to external WLAN devices.

New in this release...
-SSID can now be renamed to JoikuSpot_xxx, where xxx is defined by the user. (Press Stop and then go to Settings and rename your JoikuSpot)
-Multiple APN creation bug fixed
-A LOT of improvements to stability-All your comments are mostly welcomed. WEP encryption is on next release within a month. Please be patient. :)

Click here to download JaikuSpot for your N82.

Enjoy! Let me know if you guys find this useful or just nice to have.

is it possible to connect laptop to n82 (usb or bluetooth) and use wifi connection of n82 to connect the laptop to the internet? Because Joiku only allows 3g connection but not wifi. I know this is very indirect but I just happen to require to do so. thxx
