Track Gold Metalist James Cracknell On His Quest via His Nokia N82

Not sure if you've ever heard of James Cracknell, a two time gold metalist in the Olympics. I personally had never heard of him until today. He's doing an extreme challenge where he's trying to row, bike, and swim from Africa to the United Kingdom in under a week. Everything is being logged by his Nokia N82, using it to track himself with Google Maps and GPS for all to see, listen to music, and keep in touch via text message with his supporters.

He says,
"I'm aiming to show how close Africa is to the UK by getting there in less than a week - rowing the channel, cycling down through France and Spain then swimming to North Africa. Africa is not a place on the other side of the world, as Lenny Henry said "This is your doorstep."

Travelling to Africa under my own steam has always been something that I wanted to do. The majority of the trip will be spent on a bike which is a great way to see any country.

Hopefully by challenging myself other people will sign up for one of the Sport Relief Miles, it is a great way to raise money for an amazing charity."

This of course is all sponsored by Nokia, in attempt to get the word out about the N82 and its capabilites.
